Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after Mesut Özil revealed his best XI of all the players he’s starred alongside while with the Gunners.
The German strangely included the likes of David Ospina and Sead Kolasinac in his XI, when you could argue there were better options.
For example, the likes of Petr Cech and Wojciech Szczęsny did more for the Gunners than Ospina.
Elsewhere, Nacho Monreal and Kieran Tierney are better choices than Kolasinac, in our view.
Nevertheless, it is Özil’s opinion at the end of the day, and we respect that.
However, some Arsenal fans don’t seem to. One said that they’re ‘genuinely baffled’ about the former Real Madrid man choosing Ospina in his XI.
Another supporter had a theory to share.
They think that the 32-year-old hates the new Arsenal, and has a lot of bitterness towards the current crop – presumably because of Mikel Arteta exiling him.
Another simply wrote that they think Özil has ‘lost the plot’ after revealing his XI to the world of Twitter.
In truth, it’s just a bit of fun and games from the Gunners maestro, who was hosting a Q&A session yesterday – his answer probably shouldn’t be examined so forensically.
