Several Premier League and Championship sides have been alerted to Oldham trialist Liandro Martis after his impressive showing for the Latics in pre-season HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Former Feyenoord winger Martis is a free agent and he has training with several English club, including Tranmere, Barrow and Buxton in a bid to work on his fitness with the ultimate goal of securing a move to England.

Martis impressed on trial for Evo-Stick Premier League side Buxton earlier this summer scoring a superb goal and assisting another in a friendly against Crewe.

The 20-year-old came to the attention of Oldham during the performance against Crewe with his pace and trickery and they offered him a trial at Boundary Park.

The skilful wide man caught the eye again in Oldham’s friendly defeat to Preston earlier this week with a superb solo goal and the League One club have already offered Martis a deal as they look to secure the surprise package.

Martis’ impressive showing has not gone unnoticed among clubs higher up the football pyramid with scouts from Premier League and Championship clubs being made aware of the player’s potential.

The Curacao international has now been offered the chance to go train with other clubs and Martis is now expected to weigh up his options before deciding who to join.
