Inter are trying to finalise a deal for Cardiff City man Gary Medel and are anxiously awaiting confirmation, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Gary Medel looks almost certain to be wearing an Inter shirt next season, but the Italian side are facing a race against time to tie up the deal.
The Chilean international has been a target for Inter since his performances in the World Cup and the Nerazzurri entered talks with Cardiff City several weeks ago.
But the exact terms of the transfer have caused some debate between the two clubs and Inter are now attempting to speed up the process.
Medel is said to be in a hotel near San Siro but hasn’t been able to join his new teammates and coach Walter Mazzarri to train yet.
Inter are believed to be trying to push things forward so Medel can be selected for Inter’s Europa League opener against Stjarnan of Iceland.
Mazzarri’s men have an away leg first on August 21 before hosting the minnows a week later, but they will need to register Medel first and could fail to do so in time.
