According to the latest reports, Inter are close to luring Manchester United Chief Operating Officer Michael Bolingbroke.
It has been a tough season for Manchester United and it seems that the back-room staff are targets for other clubs as well as the players.
Bolingbroke is an important figure at Old Trafford and losing him to another club will be a jolt to United, but the club have reportedly insisted that his new role is a promotion so they won’t stand in his way.
It was announced last week that Bolingbroke had handed in his resignation in a move that was said to have shocked United.
Inter owner Erick Thohir is said to be looking to imitate some of United’s success globally and reportedly sees Bolingbroke as a step in the right direction.
Thohir and Inter director Marco Fassone have been in London and watched Chelsea beat Paris Saint-Germain.
They are reportedly in England for talks with Bolingbroke as well as to watch several potential transfer targets.
