The Tottenham Hotspur winger is the subject of interest from Italy.

After 13 months on the sidelines with a hip injury, Erik Lamela is enjoying being back in the Tottenham Hotspur squad, but there have been suggestions that the winger could be set for a temporary return to Italy during this month’s transfer window.
Lamela, who impressed for Roma between 2011 and 2013, is the subject of interest from Inter Milan, who want to take him on loan, as reported by Football Italia.

Despite his undoubted talent, Lamela faces a significant battle to re-establish himself as a regular in the Tottenham starting lineup, with the club having an array of creative talents at their disposal.
However, while playing frequently in Serie A may well help Lamela to build up his sharpness, it would surely be more beneficial for Tottenham if they were to keep hold of the Argentine.

With his trickery, Lamela is capable of making a major impact for Tottenham between now and the end of the season, and there will be plenty of opportunities for rotation for manager Mauricio Pochettino given the club’s commitments in the Champions League and the FA Cup.
Tottenham should not consider letting Lamela leave on loan given how important he could be for them in the weeks to come.
