Inter Miami are reportedly interested in Newell’s Old Boys youngster Brian Aguirre, with the 20-year-old one of the most exciting talents in Argentina.
According to journalist Cesar Luis Merlo, Tata Martino’s side are keeping tabs on the Argentina youth international, with Aguirre recently representing the South American giants at the U-20 FIFA World Cup, where the forward impressed in his homeland.
Praised by Left Back Football as a winger with ‘high-level potential’, Aguirre is a talent who has hit his stride at Newell’s since the appointment of former Atlanta United manager Gabriel Heinze and the departure of Thiago Almada to the Five Stripes.
And now, Inter Miami are interested in Aguirre, who could join Lionel Messi in Florida as a part of a growing Argentinan contingent, with manager Martino a figure who is likely away of the 20-year-old’s exploits this year in South America.
Aguirre could be a statement signing from Inter Miami

With Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba all due to be unveiled next week as Inter Miami players, the next step for the club in the market appears to be signing young players from South America, a strategy that has proved successful for a number of clubs in MLS.
And Aguirre could be an ideal signing for Inter Miami, with the youngster an exciting talent who has been well-coached by a manager who knows MLS well in Henzie. As a result, the forward could be perfect for Martino and an ideal fit to make the move to America this summer.
