Inter Miami have reportedly approached Andres Iniesta, with the MLS franchise looking to reunite the FC Barcelona legend with Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets.
According to Rai1, the now-39-year-old midfielder has received a proposal from the Florida-based side after Iniesta’s departure from Vissel Kobe, with the veteran footballing legend expected to make one more before hanging up his boots for good.
And Inter Miami have made a move to recruit Iniesta, with the Herons eager to add the Spanish legend to their growing band of former Barcelona players having signed Messi and Busquets already this summer, with Jordi Alba and Luis Suarez also linked.

Whilst Inter Miami could struggle to find space in their salary cap to fit in Iniesta having already made two huge statement signings this summer, the Barcelona legend could be eager to make the move to Florida, especially to once again play with Messi and Busquets.
Indeed, the trio were instrumental in Barcelona’s golden years under Pep Guardiola and Luis Enrique. And reuniting one last time in Miami under former Barca manager Tata Martino could be an appealing way for Iniesta to cap off his footballing career.
Iniesta could be the missing piece in Inter Miami’s play-off push

With Inter Miami sat bottom of the Eastern Conference, a summer splurge the likes of which MLS has never seen before was the only realistic way the David Beckham-owned franchise were going to make a push for the play-offs, and signing Iniesta could be the cherry on top of the cake.
As we know, Messi is likely to dominate MLS once his arrival is completed later this summer alongside Busquets. And adding a former teammate in Iniesta to the mix will only help Inter Miami’s cause, which could now see Martino taking his new side all the way to the finals at the end of this year.
