One of Crystal Palace’s new signings this summer has spoken about his reasoning behind moving to Selhurst Park this summer.
Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise has already departed Selhurst Park after he completed a move to Bayern Munich, whilst Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze could also depart this summer.
Oliver Glasner made an instant impact in South London as the Austrian played some very exciting football with the Eagles, with one of the peaks of his debut season being the 4-0 victory over Manchester United in May.
Whilst the loss of Olise will be felt hugely, the signing of former Lazio midfielder Daichi Kamada, who was described as ‘intelligent‘ by former coach Adi Huttler, could be a superb replacement.

Kamada hails Oliver Glasner for move to Crystal Palace
Kamada completed a free transfer to the South London club after he brought his year stay in Italy to an end and he has explained that decision.
Speaking to Italian outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi, he said: “I chose Palace because I had already been contacted in the winter, given that when Maurizio Sarri was at Lazio I never played. While I was thinking about what to do, Oliver Glasner sent me a message and said he wanted me as a signing for the summer.
“In the end I was undecided whether to stay at Lazio or go to Crystal Palace I repeat to myself that my dream was to one day play in the Premier League.
“I spoke a lot with Oliver Glasner, and I think he is a great manager and he wanted me at all costs even when I thought I would stay at Lazio. And in the end, he prevailed. I’ve been following Palace since Glasner has been there, I’ve seen all the games.”
Kamada will have a point to prove for Palace
During his time at the Italian club, he scored two goals and provided two assists for the Italian side as he seemed to struggle in Serie A.
This was a poor return compared to his time at German side Eintracht Frankfurt as he scored 40 times and provided 33 assists in 179 games.
This could prove to be a masterstroke from the Austrian and he seems to be playing a key role in the club’s recruitment this summer.
