Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers both want Zenit St Petersburg’s Champions League striker Artem Dzyuba.

It might be a bit much to suggest that Artem Dzyuba is ageing like a vintage wine but the giant striker’s stock has certainly never been higher.
After outshining the likes of Alvaro Morata, Gabriel Jesus and Timo Werner at the 2018 World Cup, Dzyuba simply hasn’t let up. In 11 games for Zenit St Petersburg this season, this 6ft 5ins bull of a centre-forward has netted five goals and produced five assists.
And while he failed to get on the scoresheet during Zenit’s 1-1 Champions League draw against Lyon on Tuesday afternoon, Dzyuba did offer a fine example of his excellent link play, releasing strike partner Sardar Azmoun (below) to give the Russians a first-half lead after an inspired one-two around the edge of the box.

According to Rianfan, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Crystal Palace and Everton sent scouts to watch the late-blooming 31-year-old during Russia’s 2-1 win at Hampden Park in a Euro 2020 qualifier earlier in September. Dzyuba scored too, converting a chance in clinical fashion as Scotland lost 2-1 on home soil.
And if the Premier League trio were interested to see how Dzyuba performed in Europe’s premiere club competition, a fine Champions League performance would have done his growing reputation no harm whatsoever.
