Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham labelled Harry Kane as ‘inspirational’ on Instagram after Tottenham’s final game of the 2020/21 season.
Despite Tottenham producing a season to forget, their star man up top finished the campaign as the Premier League’s Golden Boot winner.
Kane’s 23 goals meant that he finished the season one ahead of Mohamed Salah, who failed to score on the final day.
After the match, Kane took to Instagram by stating that he is ‘delighted’ with the individual awards he has won this term.
The Englishman was praised by several of his fellow professionals, including Chelsea hitman Abraham, Newcastle’s Callum Wilison and Aston Villa defender, Tyrone Mings.
Joe Hart also labelled Kane as a ‘class act’, whilst Spurs legend, Robbie Keane, stated that his award was ‘well deserved’.
But of course, it’s the team trophies that Kane craves the most, hence speculation about his future.
Amid those reports, ESPN have claimed that Chelsea are willing to offer the likes of Kepa and Abraham in order to lure one of the world’s best number 9’s to Stamford Bridge.
Now, whilst Spurs fans might understand or even expect their talisman to head for the exit door this summer, they won’t be expecting him to sign up for those across the road.
That would no doubt cause shockwaves, not just across London, but across English football.
Either way, it’s been a remarkable campaign for Kane, who ends the season as the Premier League’s top scorer and assist-maker.
