Duncan Castles has suggested that it is possible that both Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane could leave Liverpool in the summer on the Transfer Window Podcast.

Salah has seen speculation over his Liverpool future follow him for a while now, as there is a feeling that he may be interested in a move to either Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Mane, though, is now also said to be slightly unhappy with his current situation at Anfield.

And with a number of attacking players up for grabs this summer, Castles feels that Liverpool’s attacking pair could also be on other club’s radars.

“The one thing you can say about the striker market this summer is there are a lot of names on it. We have the two biggest players in the history of the game – Messi and Ronaldo as factors,” he said.

“We’ve got two players who have been identified as their heir apparent in Haaland and Mbappe who are on the market.

“You’ve got a decision to be made over Sergio Aguero.

“You have Sadio Mane and Mo Salah who are not entirely happy with their situations at Liverpool and there is a possibility that they get involved in this merry-go round of transfers.”

If ever there was a chance to take Salah or Mane from Liverpool then this summer may be the best opportunity.

The Reds are not certain to be playing Champions League football, which would harm them financially.

Liverpool are likely to demand huge fees for either Salah or Mane if any interest does arise though.

Mane may not have enjoyed his most productive campaign, but he remains one of the most dangerous attackers in the Premier League, and Salah has continued to score regularly, despite the Reds’ struggles.

If either of the pair did depart they could help to finance a restructure at Liverpool.

But Klopp’s priority is likely to be to keep the pair, and add further quality in the forward positions to help them out this summer.
