Jiri Prochazka isn’t quick to accept or dismiss the matchups suggested by the UFC.
The former light heavyweight champion is set to headline Saturday’s UFC 327 pay-per-view, where he’ll be looking to reclaim the title for a third time.
Since his second loss to Alex Pereira, Prochazka has put together two wins and will now face Carlos Ulberg for the belt being vacated by ‘Poatan’.
The Czech fighter has built a strong fanbase thanks to his unpredictable style, and it’s not just what he does in the Octagon that gets people talking.

How Dana White says Jiri Prochazka responds to UFC offers
Prochazka is known for his unique approach to training, including everything from tree-punching routines to time spent in sensory deprivation tanks.
And according to Dana White, there’s another unusual habit that the UFC 327 headliner has, tied directly to how he handles fight offers.
Speaking on Adin Ross’ Kick stream, the UFC president shared that ‘BJP’ heads into the wilderness after getting a call about a potential matchup, taking a few days before coming back with a decision.
“When you call him to take a fight, he goes out, like, into the woods,” White said.
“He goes and talks to whoever he talks to out there, spiritually or whatever it is that he’s into, and then he’ll come back a few days later and say yes or no,” he added.
This unpredictability isn’t limited to his time outside of the Octagon. Prochazka will be hoping that this unorthodox style works in his favour when he steps back into the cage in Miami this weekend.
The Czech fighter is eyeing another title run after being forced to give up his light heavyweight belt due to injury not long after winning it.
He first captured gold by submitting Glover Teixeira at UFC 275, but has yet to reclaim it since then. But with Alex Pereira moving up from light heavyweight, many believe Prochazka now has a clearer path back to the top of the division this year.
