This week, the PGA Tour did not just approve Brooks Koepka’s return; they also gave hope to three more LIV Golf players who could be joining him soon.
It has only been a few weeks since Koepka left LIV Golf, and now he is already set to make his return to the PGA Tour at the Farmers Insurance Open, his first event since 2022.
However, Brian Rolapp’s bold move did not stop with the five-time major winner.
How LIV Golf hierarchy reacted to the PGA Tour launching the Returning Member Program
The PGA Tour paved the way for Koepka’s return by introducing the Returning Member Program. This allows players who have won a major or The Players Championship since 2022 to rejoin by 2 February, provided they accept the same penalties handed to Koepka.
Now, attention turns to Cameron Smith, Jon Rahm, and Bryson DeChambeau – all of whom are eligible under the new program.

This move from the PGA Tour could put LIV Golf in a tough spot if Rahm and DeChambeau decide to leave. Losing those two would be a significant blow.
In that context, The Telegraph reports that Rolapp’s announcement did not go down well with LIV Golf leadership, especially as it comes just days before their season opener in Riyadh.
What Cam Smith, Jon Rahm, and Bryson DeChambeau said when asked about their plans
LIV Golf can take some comfort from the fact that Smith, Rahm, and DeChambeau have not shown any interest in returning to the PGA Tour for now.
The topic came up during a LIV media event this week. Smith was the most direct in ruling out a move, while both Rahm and DeChambeau said they are planning to stay through 2026.
That gives LIV some stability in the short term, but there is still uncertainty around their long-term commitments.
DeChambeau’s contract runs out this winter, giving him plenty of leverage if he decides to push for new terms or consider other options.
Rahm’s situation is different. Since he joined later than others, getting out of his deal now would likely cost more. Koepka reportedly paid $30 million to leave with a year left on his contract.
So even though both seem set to stay for now, it does not mean LIV will be their long-term home. The landscape could shift again before too long.
