Liverpool fans have wanted Jude Bellingham signed ever since the speculation broke about him possibly arriving this past summer.
And in light of his goal for Borussia Dortmund this afternoon, now they definitely want him at Anfield.
The Star reported in September that Liverpool were leading the race to sign the 18-year-old midfield sensation.
It has previously been reported that the former Birmingham City gem had a £100 million price-tag [Eurosport].
And that looks about right because despite being 18, this is a frightening talent – and he proved it again today.
Dortmund won 3-1 away to Arminia Bielefeld and Bellingham added his side’s third goal in the final quarter – and what an effort it was.
Liverpool fans have a deep appreciation for wonderful solo goals, in light of Mohamed Salah’s heroics in recent weeks.
And Bellingham certainly channeled his inner Salah, dancing his way past a number of defenders en route to finishing well past the goalkeeper.
It was an insane goal from such a young player and here’s what some fans of the Merseyside club are saying on Twitter:
Record signing?
If Liverpool do sign this lad, FSG are going to have to smash the club’s transfer record.
There’s just no way that he’ll be joining for less than the £75 million that was paid to get Virgil van Dijk almost four years ago.
But on the upside, he would be worth every penny of the nine-figure fee that he’s absolutely going to command.
As mentioned, if you weigh up his talent and age, this is such a scary youngster and one who could go on to achieve whatever he wants in the game – well, at club level anyway.
