Leeds United youngster Cody Drameh was among a whole host of players to congratulate Sam Greenwood, after he scored a belter for the Whites’ under-23 side yesterday.
Greenwood scored the pick of the bunch of the goals, as Leeds beat West Bromwich Albion’s development squad 5-0.
The teenager, who joined Leeds from Arsenal in the summer, took aim from long-range and his free-kick dipped and swerved wildly before find the top corner.
It was a quite remarkable piece of skill, and plenty of Leeds players were quick to add their praise.
Drameh was particularly impressed though, and he could not contain himself about his teammate.
“Insane, what a player man,” he wrote on social media website Instagram.
Greenwood actually has made a brief senior appearance for Leeds, suggesting Marcelo Bielsa knows what a gem he has coming through.
The prospect came off the bench at the Whites lost to Crawley Town in the FA Cup earlier this season, and he may well be hoping that further senior chances come sooner rather than later.
