Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter to rumours that Rafa Benitez could be heading to Celtic.
There have been conflicting reports emerging about Benitez’s future after he left his managerial role at Chinese Super League side Dalian Pro.
It seems as though it’s a matter of time before Celtic part ways with Neil Lennon and there could be the possibility that two Liverpool legends are prowling the Old Firm touchline.
The Mirror recently reported that Benitez is set to become the Celtic manager after he left China.
But the Daily Mail claim that the Spanish coach isn’t interested in the Parkhead post and he would like a move to the Premier League instead.
Either way, Liverpool fans like the idea of Benitez joining Celtic because then it would mean a reunion with Steven Gerrard.
The last time Celtic appointed an ex-Liverpool manager, it didn’t go too badly, did it? So, going down that route again may not be a bad idea.
But it would be some footballing story if Benitez is locking horns with Gerrard in Glasgow and it would only increase the stature of the game in Scotland.
Either way, just the rumour have excited the Liverpool faithful, who have offered their thoughts.
