Tottenham Hotspur have scraped a 3-3 draw against West Brom this afternoon.
What a weekend at The Hawthorns once again – as West Brom threw away a 3-0 lead against Tottenham to draw 3-3 at home for the second time in a row.
The picture above is of Emmanuel Adebayor and Harry Kane, shoulders slumped and dejected faces after The Baggies took an astonishing 2-0 lead after just four minutes.
It took Matej Vydra less than 30 seconds to give his side the lead – and then it was the work of Chris Brunt, smashing in a half-volley at the far post that did the damage.
Tottenham soon found themselves 3-0 down after Stephane Sessegnon scored – but that was not before Adebayor had one of those moments from 12 yards out.
You would think Christian Eriksen has the mind-set for such a circumstance – but instead it was the Togolese striker who stepped up – before rolling the ball back to Ben Foster.
Overall it was a woeful defensive performance from Spurs – and somehow they got away with it.
Goals from Kane and Eriksen added to the earlier own goal and Spurs clawed away a barely deserved point.
But the performance would certainly have done no favours to Tim Sherwood in his pursuit of the job permanently.
