Aston Villa had a January to remember.
The Villans made arguably the biggest signing they’ve made this millennium as they brought Philippe Coutinho in on loan from Barcelona, while the additions of Lucas Digne, Calum Chambers and Robin Olsen have added more quality to the Villans’ squad.
Now that the transfer business is done, it’s time to focus on results on the pitch, and the Midlands club have a great chance of getting a result on Wednesday as they face an injury-ravaged Leeds United.
However, in order to get a victory, Steven Gerrard will have to get his team selection spot on, and with that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting Villa’s starting XI for this one.

It may be boring, but we think Gerrard will go unchanged from the team that beat Everton a fortnight ago.
This is arguably Aston Villa’s strongest side at the moment, and after getting a win against the Toffees, there’s no need to change.
Perhaps the biggest selection headache Gerrard faces right now is up top as he has to choose between Danny Ings and Ollie Watkins, but with Leeds playing a high defensive line and an intense pressing style, he may feel as though Watkins is the better fit for this fixture.
