Some Leeds United fans on social media are far from happy after the club tweeted out a clip of Patrick Bamford’s penalty shout against Southampton.

Leeds’ media team were seemingly having a bit of fun on Wednesday night as they shared the 24-second footage, asking fans to answer what they would do if they were in Bamford’s situation.

Bamford refused to go to ground, but his honesty wasn’t rewarded, much to his dismay as he appeared to ask the referee ‘so I have to dive?’ after the incident.

Understandably, fans were incensed after seeing the incident again and they had a few choice words about the referee, VAR and the PGMOL.

To be fair, it should have been a penalty, and it probably would have been if Bamford had made a meal out of the challenge, but the striker’s honesty seemed to be punished on this occasion.

Fans online have been having their say on the incident, and it’s clear to see how they feel about it.

Here’s what the Elland Road faithful have been saying about the club’s tweet on social media…
