‘Inexcusable’: Some Liverpool fans disgusted after spotting incident before Alisson howler

Some Liverpool fans on Twitter are very unhappy.

Well, that goes without saying because the Reds have just lost to Leicester City and Jurgen Klopp conceded the Premier League title.

But it could and should have been different for Liverpool on Saturday.

Klopp’s side went down 3-1 at The King Power Stadium following an awful last quarter which saw the visitors concede three goals in the final 12 minutes.

The killer goal was the Foxes’ second which Jamie Vardy ran into the net following another howler from Alisson, whose mix-up with Ozan Kabak let the hosts in.

But some Liverpool fans believe that seconds earlier, Sadio Mane should have been awarded a foul.

The Senegalese attacker appeared to be pushed in the back by Jonny Evans with enough force that sent Mane to the turf.

And some fans of the Premier League champions are upset that Vardy’s goal was allowed to stand despite a debatable free kick before that.
