Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told the club’s official website that Mohamed Salah is the first player in training.

Klopp has added that more often than not, the Liverpool forward is the last player off the training pitch as well.

The Liverpool boss made the comments about the Egypt international forward ahead of the Premier League game against Manchester United on Sunday.

Salah will come up against Cristiano Ronaldo.

Klopp said that, like the former Real Madrid and Juventus forward, Salah is “incredibly professional”.

The German told Liverpool’s official website: “You need luck because things can happen, injuries and stuff like this.

“But I think the professionalism of both is probably the one thing you can compare 100 per cent or say is probably the same.

“Mo is incredibly professional, he’s really the first in and very, very often the last out of all the players.

“He is constantly interested in all the different things he can do, he has to do to improve or keep the standard or to improve the standard, all these kind of things. I think he has still a lot to give, 100 per cent.”

Cristiano Ronaldo v Mo Salah showdown

Salah has been electric so far this season and is banging in the goals for fun.

The former Chelsea attacker has scored seven goals in the Premier League and five goals in the Champions League already this season.

Ronaldo, who returned to Manchester United in the summer transfer window, is doing well too.

The United no. 7 has scored three goals in four Premier League starts.

The 36-year-old has also scored three goals in the Champions League.

Sunday’s match will be massive, and both Ronaldo and Salah will be determined to score and win for their respective teams.
