Leeds United head coach Jesse Marsch has raved about Wilfried Gnonto on Sky Sports News (5:32pm, November 5, 2022) for his performance against Bournemouth at Elland Road in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Jesse Marsch’s Leeds came from 3-1 down to beat Bournemouth 4-3 at home in the league.

Gnonto provided the assist for the fourth and winning goal for the West Yorkshire club.

The £3.8 million (The Daily Mail) attacker came on as a substitute at the start of the second half for English winger Jack Harrison.

And Leeds boss Marsch was impressed by how Gnonto played and has raved about him.

Marsch said about Gnonto: “Willie continues to grow within our group. I think people see that he has talent and quality, but also he has real intelligence on the pitch. For a young man, he is incredibly intelligent.”

Impressive

In our view, Wilfried Gnonto is a very good and promising young attacking player who will only grow in importance at Leeds United.

The attacker has already played six times for Italy, scoring one goal in the process.

And he is only 19.

Gnonto is still a player who is developing and progressing, and we should not expect him to do a great deal right now.

It is important that everyone at Leeds is patient with the Italy international and do not pile the pressure on him.
