‘Incredibly confident’ Liverpool player’s response when asked about joining Real Madrid

Liverpool youngster Ki-Jana Hoever has suggested that he does not want to move to Real Madrid, as quoted in The Bleacher Report.

During an an AMA session with Bleacher Report, Hoever was asked by a Madrid fan if he could see him at a different club, namely Madrid.

The 18-year-old, who can operate as a central defender or as a right-back, said that he is happy at Liverpool.

Hoever said when asked about a potential Madrid move, as quoted in Bleacher Report: “I’m very happy at Liverpool.”

Hoever has been on the books of Liverpool since the summer of 2018 when he joined from Dutch giants Ajax.

The youngster was 16 at the time, and, according to The Liverpool Echo, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City all were looking into the possibility of signing him.

However, the teenager choose the Reds and was drafted into the youth team.

Hoever has trained with the Liverpool first team, and actually scored one goal in two EFL Cup matches and played once in the FA Cup for the Reds this past season, according to WhoScored.

Back in January 2019, Liverpool manager Klopp said that “it’s just a joy to watch” the Netherlands Under-18 international defender, adding that he is “an incredibly confident young fella”, as quoted in This is Anfield.

The teenager is highly rated, and it is hard to see Liverpool sell him anytime soon.
