Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma has posted on his Instagram story that Liverpool transfer target Kylian Mbappe was ‘incredible’ after France were beaten by Argentina in the 2022 FIFA World Cup final in Qatar on Sunday.
Despite scoring a hat-trick on football’s biggest stage, Mbappe ended up on the losing side when Argentina secured glory via a penalty shootout win.
Mbappe has been here before, back in 2018, when he was the first teenager since a certain Pele to score in a World Cup final when France beat Croatia.

Once again, the PSG superstar, who is perhaps the best player on the planet right now, was creating history. But this time in a game his nation will want to forget.
But whilst this pill will be a bitter one to swallow, Bissouma sent a three-word message to the 23-year-old after that defeat by stating on his IG story: ‘You are incredible’.
And he’s not wrong! This just further proves that in 15 years’ time, Mbappe will be talked about in the same breath as the legendary Lionel Messi is now.

MESSI OUTSHINES YOUNG PUP MBAPPE
The limelight will firmly be on Lionel Messi because what was written in the stars is now a reality and he is a World Cup winner.
The 35-year-old has outshone his PSG teammate, who probably produced one of the great displays for a player on a losing side.
In truth, if it wasn’t for his utter genius, then this game wouldn’t have even gone beyond 90 minutes.
PSG fans will be hoping this doesn’t see him exit their scene during these next few transfer windows because the likes of Liverpool and Real Madrid are long-admirers of the player, as reported by Marca.
