Sadio Mane is on the brink of sealing a sad departure from Liverpool.

Well, sad for the Liverpool supporters who have been cheering his name for the past six years.

Mane, a £30 million signing from Southampton in 2016, is on the cusp of joining Bayern Munich.

According to Sky Sports on Tuesday, the 30-year-old has completed the first part of his medical with the Allianz Arena outfit.

However, it seems a foregone conclusion that he’ll be joining the Bundesliga giants, after being spotted wearing their colours on Tuesday afternoon.

Here’s how former Liverpool left-back Jose Enrique reacted to seeing the image on Twitter, with the Spaniard admitting that it is ‘incredible’ to see him in another team’s colours.

According to German publication Sport 1, a ‘lack of financial appreciation’ from Fenway Sports Group was a leading factor in Mane’s decision to leave Jurgen Klopp’s side.

His last contract was only worth £100,000 [Spotrac] and considering Darwin Nunez’s first paycheck as a Liverpool player will be £40,000 more than that, well perhaps the Senegalese international had a point.

Sky Sports even uploaded footage of Mane’s plane arriving in Munich yesterday.

Everything is pointed toward a summer switch to the Germans at this stage and Enrique is right – it is sad.
