According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have a ‘serious’ interest in Gabriel Jesus, and they might be even keener to sign him after his performance on Saturday.

Indeed, Jesus was in fine fettle against Watford as Manchester City hammered Roy Hodgson’s side.

The Brazilian striker netted four times as the Hornets slumped to yet another defeat, and, to be honest, he could have netted more than four.

The striker was fed chance after chance, and he made sure to take the majority of them, scoring four goals for the first time in his Premier League career.

It was reported earlier on Saturday that Jesus will be leaving City this summer, but we can’t help but feel that Pep Guardiola may be keen to keep him at the Etihad off the back of this performance.

If the ‘incredible’ attacker is indeed on the market this summer, this performance was a taster of what the Brazilian can bring to any club he joins – fantastic movement, goalscoring instincts and a brilliant footballing IQ.

Who knows? Perhaps Jesus saw the reports linking him to Arsenal earlier in the day and wanted to put himself in the shop window.

One thing is for sure though, if the Gunners were watching Jesus’ performance against Watford, they will have been very impressed by what they saw.
