A remarkable statistic highlights the impact of Leeds United’s young players.

The impact of the young players at Leeds United this season has been incredible, but did you realise just how significant?

Figures from across the entire season reveal Sam Byram, Alex Mowatt and Lewis Cook to be the club’s most creative players.

Mowatt’s 41 key passes is the highest in the team, with Cook and Byram the only other players to create more than 30 chances.

Incredibly, the trio have created 108 chances this season.

This is one more than 13 players signed by owner Massimo Cellino have done, their efforts adding up to 107.

It shows what a huge impact the three former academy players have had at the club, and also shows the inconsistency of the players brought in by comparison.

At one stage of the season Adryan was leading his peers on a chances created per game basis, but this tailed off through December, and he has failed to earn a start since.
