Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after hearing that Christian Eriksen has started training by himself at former club Odense Boldklub.
What’s the story?
Well, the Dane has made a big step forward after suffering a cardiac arrest while playing for Denmark at EURO 2020.
Eriksen has not played a single game since his heart attack in Finland back in June, due to the regulations in Italian football.
As Sky Sports explain, the Italian medical authority has prevented the 29-year-old from playing for Inter Milan due to his cardioverter defibrillator device, which he had implanted following the cardiac arrest.
Eriksen reached out to Odense Boldklub, and he is now training alone with the Danish side in a bid to keep up his fitness levels.
It is unclear how long the midfielder plans to train with them.
Tottenham should help Christian Eriksen

It’s good to see Eriksen training at Odense Boldklub, but Tottenham should offer their former No.23 a helping hand.
After all, Hotspur Way boast some of the best facilities in England, if not Europe, so it would be hugely beneficial for Eriksen to train there.
He would also be surrounded by familiar faces, who would surely take exceptional care of him.

Of course, Spurs don’t have to do this, but it would also be nice if the north Londoners offered Eriksen a role at the club if he is unable to resume his playing career.
Ryan Mason was offered a coaching role after he was forced into an early retirement following his head injury, and has done well enough for Antonio Conte to keep him around.
For now, let’s see what the Tottenham fans on Twitter have been saying about Eriksen…
