Harvey Elliott has been tipped to enjoy a stellar breakthrough season at Liverpool.
Elliott was a key member of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool squad for the first couple months of last season.
But an injury away to Leeds United put the 19-year-old out of comission for a number of months and upon returning to full fitness, struggled to recatpure the sort of form which saw him impress early on.
The former Fulham sensation, who joined in 2019, only managed two Premier League appearances in 2022, despite staying at the club during the January transfer window.
However, Elliott has impressed for Liverpool during pre-season and Jose Enrique, the club’s former left-back, believes that the player could be set to explode on Merseyside.
Is he right?
Well, there’s no doubting that this is a phenomenal talent and one who Klopp is quite obviously a massive fan of.
However, playing regularly in this Liverpool side is a massive challenge for seasoned professionals, let alone actual teenagers.
That being said, the way in which he began last season is hugely encouraging with regards to Elliott’s capacity to handle the pressure and deliver.
And it’ll be fascinating to see how he begins this campaign.
