Speaking on the Sky Sports Football YouTube channel, Harry Kane has named Mousa Dembele as the most technically gifted footballer he’s ever played with.
Kane has played with some really talented players over the years with the likes of Gareth Bale, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli all starring alongside him for Spurs, but Kane believes Dembele was the best of the bunch.
“I know a lot of people say it, but Mousa Dembele. I think in terms of just like technical, strength, power, he just had everything really as a player, he was an incredible player,” Kane said.
“In training we got to see it every day, just how he dominated and how he controlled the ball and wouldn’t let anyone get close to it almost, a great guy, a great player and amazing ability.”
It’s hard to argue with that from Kane.
The Belgian was unbelievable in his pomp, he rarely ever gave the ball away and he was one of the best dribblers in the Premier League.
Add into that the fact that he was one of the strongest players in the league and you’ve got a midfielder who is almost impossible to stop.
Spurs haven’t really replaced Dembele since he left, and to be honest, it’s going to be really hard to ever find a player who’s as good as he was.
Tottenham got just £11m for Dembele back in 2019, but perhaps they should have gotten more.
