Jamal Lewis made his first league start of the season for Newcastle United last night against Norwich City and impressed a lot of Magpies fans on social media.
While Joelinton will take most of the plaudits and was given man of the match by former Newcastle hero turned pundit Alan Shearer, the Northern Ireland international can hold his head up high too.
As a result of Matt Ritchie’s suspension, Lewis was handed his first league start of the season by new Newcastle boss Eddie Howe.

Lewis’s lack of minutes this season would have been a cause for concern among many Newcastle fans before kick-off. However, the youngster put in a strong shift at left-back and most supporters now hope to see him start Saturday’s clash at home to Burnley.
