Juventus star Matthijs de Ligt is to reject any interest from Premier League rivals Liverpool and Chelsea to complete a summer transfer to Bayern Munich, with an improved bid close.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who report the Dutch defender has already agreed to a contract with Der FCB. De Ligt only wants to move to the Bundesliga giants if he is to leave Turin this year, and is now waiting for permission to board the first flight over to Germany.

Bayern Munich have offered the 22-year-old a €10m-a-year (£162k-a/w) contract to switch Serie A for the Bundesliga. But Julian Nagelsmann cannot welcome the centre-back to the Allianz Arena until his side frees further funds with the likely sale of Robert Lewandowski.

Bayern Munich to improve De Ligt offer to edge Liverpool interest
Juventus have demanded interested parties offer packages worth €90m (£76m) for De Ligt this summer. But while the Bianconeri would accept add-ons included in the price, Bayern Munich’s best offer to date stood at an initial €60m (£51m) plus €10m (£8.5m) in bonuses.
Der FCB have indicated they are ready to return with an improved sum much closer to the Allianz Stadium natives’ valuation. But Lewandowski must likely leave the Bavarian giants first, with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain battling to buy the Poland star this summer.
PSG have approached Bayern Munich with the Ligue 1 giants ready to pay €50m (£42.5m) to overtake Barcelona. The Blaugrana have already offered €40m (£34m) with €5m (£4m) in add-ons, yet the bid fell flat. But progress could come quickly now, as well as for De Ligt.

De Ligt favouring Bayern Munich’s advances will also see the Juventus defender reject any interest from Liverpool and Chelsea. TuttoMercatoWEB report the 38-cap Netherlands ace is a dream target for Reds boss Jurgen Klopp, as he longs to play him beside Virgil van Dijk.
Thomas Tuchel similarly leads the Blues’ pursuit of a defender former Bianconeri enforcer Andrea Barzagli considers ‘incredible’. Reports by Foot Mercato earlier this month claimed the German was due to phone De Ligt in an attempt to convince him of a move to Chelsea.
Now, though, only Bayern Munich failing to agree terms with Juventus could see De Ligt accept Liverpool or Chelsea’s interest. While Lewandowski’s sale may also play a key role.
