Jose Enrique has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur boss, Antonio Conte, is his Manager of the Month for September, as he posted on Instagram.

The Italian has been shortlisted alongside Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, and stand-in Bournemouth coach, Gary O’Neil for that award, as confirmed by the Premier League’s official website on Thursday morning.

Spurs beat Fulham and Leicester City this month, with their game against the current champions of England, Manchester City, was postponed.

Manchester United also beat the Premier League’s current whipping boys this month in Leicester City, but they also ended Arsenal’s 100% start to the season.

It could be argued that what O’Neil is doing in Bournemouth colours is more impressive because they picked up a draw at St James’ Park last time out, whilst coming from 2-0 down to beat Nottingham Forest in a crucial encounter between the two newly-promoted sides.

Nonetheless, Enrique is handing the award to Conte, as he feels that the all-action manager has done ‘incredible’ ever since he walked through the doors at Hotspur Way.

“Who will be your Manager of the Month?” asked Enrique. “For me, I would go for Antonio Conte. It’s incredible how much he has changed Tottenham from last season into this season, and for me this month, he is the Manager of the Month.”

WILL CONTE STAY AT TOTTENHAM?

For a number of months now, Spurs fans have been seeing the light, only for recent rumours to bring a dark cloud over their club.

Massimiliano Allegri is in trouble at Juventus after their pretty poor start to the season in Serie A and it seems as though he could be facing the axe.

Well, it seems as though the Old Lady have approached Conte to take the hotseat in Turin again – it’s the last thing Spurs fans would have wanted to hear.

But they will go off what they are seeing from Conte, how he has been reacting on the touchline, and if all is to be true, then they shouldn’t worry too much.
