Liverpool target Jude Bellingham’s reputation continues to rise, after he became England’s youngest ever player in a major tournament yesterday.
Bellingham came off the bench for the final few minutes as England secured victory over Croatia.
The youngster did not look overawed by the occasion, as he put in a battling performance in his brief cameo, amid claims that Liverpool want to sign him.
EuroSport claimed last month that Jurgen Klopp’s side had eyes on the Borussia Dortmund midfielder, who just continues to impress.
And Jamie Redknapp has now told the Daily Mail that he believes Bellingham has the ability to be a star of the future.
“Jude Bellingham, for a 17-year-old to be given the final 10 minutes when England are on the verge of victory shows how much he is rated,” Redknapp wrote.
“Southgate thinks so much of this teenager that he took off Harry Kane and asked Bellingham to see out the win.
“He’s an incredible specimen who covers so much ground and is comfortable on the ball.
“We’ll see more of him as the tournament goes on, I’m sure, and we’ll see a lot more of him in the future because he’s a superstar in the making.”

Exciting links
Liverpool fans will surely be desperately hoping they can watch Bellingham’s journey to become a superstar first-hand.
Landing the teenager could be easier said than done though.
With Liverpool not having the lavish funds to spend on players that some of their Premier League rivals do, Klopp’s side have to be cautious over who they target.
Bellingham would certainly not come cheaply, with Dortmund likely to be hoping to keep the 17-year-old, who they plucked from Birmingham City just over a year ago.
In terms of an investment, Bellingham could still represent a great option for Liverpool though.
He is so young that he could yet have well over a decade’s worth of top level football in him, and as a long-term signing, there appear to be few better on the market than the England international.
