Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to speculation that Danny Rose could be leaving Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.
According to Sky Sports, Genoa are interested in signing Rose from Tottenham this summer.
It has been reported that the Italian club have held talks with Spurs over the transfer of the England international left-back.
Genoa believe that ‘it would be a difficult deal’, according to the report in Sky Sports.
However, RTE has cited PA news agency in reporting that left-back is set to join Genoa, although it is not clear if it will be a loan or a permanent move.
Former Tottenham defender Roberts has given his take on speculation that Rose could be heading to Italy.
Surprise move for Danny Rose?
It does come as a surprise that Rose could reportedly be on his way to Italian club Genoa.
Genoa finished 17th in the Serie A table last season, and they also ended up fourth from bottom in the standings in 2018-19.
Rose may not have been at his best for a while, but the 30-year-old left-back is still good enough to play for a club who are challenging for trophies or European places and not battling relegation.
