Todd Cantwell has told talkSPORT that reported Liverpool target, Jude Bellingham, is an ‘incredible footballer’.
At the age of just 17, Bellingham is already being tipped to become one of the best in the business, with Europe’s top clubs lurking for the Dortmund star’s signature.
EuroSport claim that Liverpool would love to secure the midfielder’s talents this summer, but it seems as though Dortmund would command in excess of £100 million for his midfield expertise.
Whilst a lot of talk in Dortmund is about Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland, well there’s another kid on the block ready to steal their limelight.
And Norwich midfielder, Cantwell, who played alongside Bellingham for England’s younger age groups, spoke in awe of the talents in his boots.
“I think Jude Bellingham is an incredible footballer,” said Cantwell. “I remember training with him and thinking ‘it’s impossible that you are 17. It’s absolutely impossible’
“He played like he has been playing for 20 years. And his ability is impeccable as well.
“We played in a game in Austria together and he’s exactly that (very vocal). He’s telling me where to go. Where to run and bits and pieces. I am thinking ‘I am three or four years older than you and you are doing that’.
“But, to be fair, it’s the sort of person I am. I enjoyed that. I have nothing but respect for people that have the right things to say. He wasn’t just speaking for the sake of it. He was trying to win the game.”

There is some serious energy, technical ability, flair and ball-carrying ability in that England midfield heading into the Euros.
From Bellingham himself to the Champions League finalists Mason Mount and Phil Foden back to Aston Villa’s expert ball-carrier, Jack Grealish.
But with Liverpool’s squad needing refreshing after an injury-hit season that could see them miss out on Champions League football, signing someone of Bellingham’s talents would no doubt lift the supporters.
