David Moyes was left in awe by a stunning Harry Kane performance during Sunday’s 3-3 draw between Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United in north London, speaking to Sky Sports.
Manuel Lanzini’s last-gasp thunderbolt not only snatched a point for a Hammers side who were 3-0 down and doomed just ten minutes earlier, it also ensured one of the finest individual performances in recent Premier League history was not a match-winning performance.
Kane looked all-but unstoppable in a pulsating London derby, producing yet another Pirlo-esque assist for Heung Min-Son’s first-minute opener before netting twice himself with a right-footed rocket and a clinical header.
Tallying five strikes and seven assists already, no player in the competition’s history has contributed to more goals in the first five games of a new season.
And Moyes admits his West Ham side were powerless to prevent Kane from scribing his name into Premier League folklore during a six-goal thriller.
“Harry Kane was incredible today, he was so good. Up close, he’s a terrific player. He really is a top player,” Moyes said of the England international, who was a lick of paint away from yet another hat-trick on the night.

Strangely enough for a Jose Mourinho side, Spurs’ Achilles heel lies at the other end of the pitch.
Conceding three times in the final 12 minutes to snatch a draw from the jaws of victory, and without a clean sheet all season, Tottenham won’t be genuine title contenders unless they can liven up a defence prone to collapse.
Moyes, however, was thrilled to see his side follow up 3-0 and 4-0 thrashings of Leicester and Wolves with a display full of character and resilience at the home of their arch rivals.
“I think the team’s getting better. I see it in training, I really do. I’ve said it before, I’d like to make the club, the team, everything better if I could and I think there’s potential to do that.”
