Jude Bellingham stated that it was ‘incredible’ that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is now England’s leading goalscorer in major tournaments.
The Tottenham hitman has surpassed another player who once donned the Spurs colours and that’s Gary Lineker.
The penalty box poacher turned TV presenter scored 10 major tournament goals for the Three Lions, including top-scorer at the 1986 World Cup.

But that has now been surpassed by Kane when the Tottenham man netted his 11th in all major tournaments when England beat Senegal 3-0 for a place in the quarter-finals of the World Cup on Sunday.
After the game, Bellingham was full of praise for his teammate who always produces the goods when it matters most, as he told beIN SPORTS (04/12/22 at 9:20 pm).
On being told about Kane’s tournament record: “Incredible, isn’t it,” said Bellingham. “He always delivers for us. I know there was talk about him not scoring in the group stages, but whenever it matters and whenever it starts to get a little bit bigger, he always steps up.
“Like I said, it’s a pleasure to play with someone who has that much quality and that much experience. I am just trying to do my bit to make it as easy as possible for him.”

KANE IN THE KNOCKOUT STAGES
At Euro 2020, Kane didn’t score during the group stages, but he then turned the heat up when the knockout rounds came about.
At the 2018 World Cup, he was the top scorer, and whilst that’s a difficult task now because Kylian Mbappe (5) is running away with it.
The 29-year-old will be fully aware that if England go all the way, then there is an outside chance he wins Golden Boot number 2.
That’s never been done before in the history of World Cups, back-to-back, anyway, well it will start to become believable if Kane scores and England knock France out of the World Cup on Saturday.
