Liverpool defensive midfielder Fabinho has told The Athletic that Luis Diaz will become increasingly important for Jurgen Klopp’s side, suggesting that he is Sadio Mane’s replacement in the team.
The Brazil international has suggested that Liverpool already have a replacement for Sadio Mane in Luis Diaz.
Fabinho has noted how well the Colombia international winger did in the second half of last season following his move from FC Porto in the January transfer window.
Mane left Liverpool for Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.

Fabinho told The Athletic about Diaz: “For a long time it was always Sadio on the left side. But we have Luis (Diaz) on the left side and we saw how well he played in the second half of last season. Luis will become increasingly important.”

Sadio Mane replacement?
In our view, Luis Diaz could be the perfect replacement for Sadio Mane at Liverpool.
The Colombian was playing on the left of a front-three for Liverpool in the second half of last season, with Mane deployed down the middle and Mohamed Salah on the right.
Now that Mane has gone, Darwin Nunez will slot in as the central striker with Diaz and Salah on the flanks.
Mane is a world-class player who won the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League with Liverpool.
Diaz is not at that level yet, but we should not forget that Mane became world class under Klopp at Liverpool.
Colombian star Diaz could develop just as Mane did at Anfield.
Diaz has scored four goals and created two big chances in 13 Premier League appearances for Liverpool so far in his career.
