Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool may have to face Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, according to comments from head coach Luciano Spalletti on the club’s official website.
Liverpool will take on Napoli away from home at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday evening.
Ahead of the game, Napoli boss Spalletti has said that star striker Osimhen could recover full fitness to face Liverpool.
Liverpool could face Napoli striker Victor Osimhen
Spalletti said about Osimhen: “He followed a custom schedule today and it was positive. If he does well in training tomorrow then he could take part.”

Dangerous
In our view, Liverpool could find it tough to win against Napoli in tomorrow’s UEFA Champions League match if Victor Osimhen plays.
The 23-year-old is one of the best young strikers in Europe and is a key figure in the Napoli squad.
Described as “phenomenal because he runs alone at five players and gets through” by former Napoli and Cagliari head coach Walter Mazzarri in Goal in September 2021, the Nigeria international has pace and skills to get the better of a Liverpool defensive line that is struggling to stop goals from going in at the moment.
Osimhen has scored two goals and created one assist in five Serie A matches for Napoli so far this season.
The Nigerian striker scored 14 goals and gave two assists in 23 league starts last season.
