Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told the club’s official website that Darwin Nunez has blown him away in training at the AXA Training Centre.
Klopp has said that the 23-year-old Liverpool striker is exceptional, and that his finishing in training is brilliant.
Nunez joined Liverpool from Benfica in the summer transfer window.
The youngster has struggled to make a huge impact at the Reds so far.
The Liverpool no. 27 has made two starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool so far this season.
Nunez has scored one goal and provided one assist in those games.
The Uruguay international striker has also made one start and two substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League for the Reds so far this campaign

Jurgen Klopp on Darwin Nunez in Liverpool training
Klopp said about Nunez: “I think he said himself he feels the pressure, these kinds of things. He has to calm himself down.
“You can see the movements are exceptional and if you would see him finishing in training you would think, ‘My God.’ But in the games obviously then a bit in a rush.
“He needs to calm down just in the moment to use his full range of finishing but it’s not something – as a striker you just have to feel that. Then it will go from there. So, not to change, just to keep going actually.”
Staying positive
In our view, Liverpool fans should stay positive about Darwin Nunez.
Yes, the striker is not having the best of times at the moment, but he is only 23 and joined the Reds just in the summer of 2022.
The striker will come good for Liverpool.
Eventually.
We think that the Anfield faithful will see the best of Nunez in the coming weeks and months.
