Mikel Arteta has told Football London that David Luiz is definitely available to play for Arsenal this evening.
Luiz has missed Arsenal’s last two matches with a thigh injury, but has been back in training recently and Arteta has been impressed with his performances.
Indeed the Spaniard is convinced that Luiz is fully fit now, and he has has suggested that the 33-year-old could start against Molde this evening.
“He’s available. He’s been training well the past few days so he’ll be in the squad,” Arteta said.
Luiz has been a key player for Arsenal this season so it will be interesting to see whether he is backed to start this evening.
Arsenal are limited on their options at the back currently, with a number of their players still on the treatment table, but Rob Holding and Gabriel both performed well at Old Trafford.

Arsenal picked up a 1-0 win over Manchester United, and Holding’s and Gabriel’s displays may just have convinced Arteta to make them his first choice pairing at the back.
Their displays also put pressure on Luiz to perform well if he is backed to start tonight.
The veteran defender is now facing a real battle to win his place back in Arsenal’s team, and he will have to impress if he is to stand any chance of starting again at the weekend.
