Darren Bent has claimed that Tottenham striker Harry Kane is in the ‘same bracket’ as Manchester United’s returning hero, Cristiano Ronaldo, as he told the United View.
The former Premier League player was making reference to the Manchester United and Tottenham duo’s ‘finishing’ being on the same level.
Since Ronaldo returned to England’s top-flight, he has scored in every single game for Man United, including at the London Stadium last time out.
Kane was the top goalscorer and assist-maker last season in the Premier League, but during this campaign, he has only scored in the Europa Conference League for Spurs.
And when Bent was asked whether he still wants Kane ahead of Ronaldo, this is what he had to say:
“Listen, why does he keep saying this,” said Bent. “I explained this last time I was on the show.
“If it was a final, not even a final, I would rather have Ronaldo over Kane. But when we are talking about finishing, they are in the same bracket.”

Unless Kane gets his act together pretty quickly, then that Golden Boot of his will land in the hands of someone else.
There is more competition for that prize this season, with Ronaldo and Romelu Lukaku added into the mix this season.
Then there is Mohamed Salah, who has scored four goals in his five league games and he came pretty close to beating Kane last time out.
Whilst the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Jamie Vardy, Ollie Watkins, Patrick Bamford and Michail Antonio will also want to have a say in that race.
It does seem as though one of Ronaldo, Kane, Lukaku or Salah will walk away as the top goalscorer, and not many will want to bet against the Portuguese superstar, regardless of whether Man United win a trophy or not.
