Speaking on The Done Deal Show, CBS journalist Ben Jacobs has been discussing Christian Eriksen’s future amid links to multiple Premier League clubs.

The midfielder’s Brentford contract is up at the end of this month, and, as of yet, his next club isn’t decided.

Manchester United and Brentford are reportedly the two frontrunners for the Dane’s signature, but according to Jacobs, the midfielder is delaying making his decision as he awaits all offers to arrive.

Jacobs says that there are deals on the table from United and Brentford, but with Leeds, Leicester and Everton keen, Eriksen is happy to bide his time before jumping into anything.

What’s been said?

Jacobs spoke about Eriksen and his impending decision.

“Leicester are interested, no formal offer at this stage and I think that Eriksen is delaying because of the sheer volume of the Premier League clubs that are circling,” Jacobs said.

“He’s waiting to see what materialises in the market from Manchester United but also if any other clubs come into the mix. Later in the mix for Eriksen have been Leicester, Leeds and Everton. So if Raphinha goes, could Leeds somehow land Eriksen? There are a range of considerations.”

Who has a chance?

So, Leeds, Leicester, Everton, Manchester United and Brentford are all in for Eriksen, but who actually has a chance of signing him?

Well, Leicester City have been perennial top-six challengers in recent years, they play entertaining attacking football and they have a great manager, so they’re in with a chance.

Manchester United are in the mix just by virtue of being Manchester United, while Eriksen certainly has an affinity towards Brentford after spending the second half of last season with the Bees.

As for Everton and Leeds, we have to feel as though this move is a tad too ambitious for two sides that narrowly avoided relegation last term, especially for a player who is more than capable of playing in Europe.

Eriksen is delaying his decision, and it may be some time before we see where he ends up.
