Harry Redknapp has raved about Declan Rice, as the West Ham United star looks set to join Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

The former Tottenham Hotspur manager has said on talkSPORT (9:12am, July 11, 2023) that Arsenal would be signing a brilliant player in West Ham United and England international midfielder Declan Rice in the summer transfer window.

Sky Sports have reported that Arsenal and West Ham have agreed on an initial £100 million transfer fee for the 24-year-old.

Arsenal are reportedly hopeful of securing the services of the midfielder before the squad flies to the USA for their pre-season tour on Sunday

Former West Ham manager Redknapp is a big fan of Rice, noting how good he is off the pitch as well as on the pitch.

Redknapp said about Rice and Arsenal: “I think he will be a great signing for them.

“Declan Rice, great character, bubbly, big personality, good in the dressing room. He is one those lads you want to be around him.

Good signing for the Gunners

In our opinion, Declan Rice would be a brilliant signing for Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old is one of the best midfielders around, and his best years are ahead of him.

Under Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, Rice is likely to improve and develop as a player.

We believe that the Englishman would make Arsenal better, more solid and more combative in the middle of the park.
