Speaking on his YouTube channel, Express journalist Ryan Taylor has been discussing Bernd Leno amid reported interest from Fulham.
It was reported over the weekend that Fulham were in talks to sign Leno from Arsenal, but despite these rumours, reports linking the Whites with a move for Tomas Strakosha continued to persist.
However, according to Taylor, Strakosha will not be headed to Craven Cottage after a deal collapsed, and the west London outfit are now prioritising a move for Leno.
What’s been said?
Taylor spoke about Leno and Fulham.
“Fulham’s deal to sign Tomas Strakosha, the move eventually broke down, the move was close at one point, but the reason the deal collapsed was partly due to the involvement of Pini Zahavi. He has been working on Fulham’s deal to sign Manor Solomon. That deal was agreed in April, but it stalled and was on the risk of collapse. Fulham have now reignited that, but tensions soured between Zahavi and Fulham, so Strakosha is considering other options now. The same applies for Fulham who remain in talks for Bernd Leno. I do believe Leno is their priority goalkeeper target now,” Taylor said.

Great move
Signing Leno would be a fantastic piece of business from Fulham.
A German international who has proven himself in England and is settled in London, signings don’t get much better than this for a newly-promoted club.
Of course, convincing Leno to join a newly-promoted side may be easier said than done, but this would be a real statement of intent from Marco Silva’s side if they can pull this one off.
