Neil Harris told the Football Show on Sky Sports (19/05/21 at 10:10 am) that he would ‘love’ Liverpool to sign Harry Kane.

The Millwall legend thinks that it is worth investing ‘one chunk’ of your money on a player like Kane given his talents.

Many have questioned whether Liverpool, after an injury-hit campaign and losing their Premier League title, need to refresh their squad, especially in the forward areas.

Jurgen Klopp could rightly point to the fact that Liverpool will be back to their best when the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez are back in the team.

And an overhaul or even a small to medium-sized refreshment isn’t needed this summer.

But Harris would like Liverpool to push for Kane, with Sky Sports claiming that the Englishman wants to leave his current club.

“I’d love to see him go to Liverpool in place of Firmino maybe in that front three,” said Harris. “But would you invest one chunk of money to one player?

“I think with Harry Kane, yes you would have to.”

Kane would suit any team up and down the land and across the European pond, it’s just a case of who has the money to secure his talents and how stubborn will Daniel Levy be?

There’s no doubt that Kane could become a legend on Liverpool’s shores and he would be a serious statement signing if he ended up on Merseyside.

But it wouldn’t be a surprise if he ended up in Manchester City’s colours given that they have more financial power than others and have had more trophy success over the years.
