Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey earned praise from Sky Sports pundit Clinton Morrison in today’s Premier League win over Bournemouth.
Unai Emery’s charges hosted the Cherries at Villa Park in a 3pm kickoff. A third win from four matches was up for grabs for the Villans.
Villa got off to a great start and led after just seven minutes. Leon Bailey cut the ball back to Douglas Luiz, who tapped in from six yards.

The Cherries rallied round after conceding and had Villa pegged back for about 15 minutes. However, the pendulum then swung back in the hosts’ favour.
Morrison, speaking on Soccer Special, highlighted one moment he liked from Ramsey just after the half-hour mark.
“There was that big Ollie Watkins chance and now Villa are starting to dominate, in particular young Ramsey,” he said (18/3/23, 15:34).
“He’s just picked out Watkins, who should have played Bailey in but it’s still 1-0.”
Obviously Ramsey went on to provide a much more crucial contribution later on in the match.

In the 80th minute, Ollie Watkins set up the £70,000-a-week ace to wriggle through the opposition defence and fire a low effort past Neto.
And just one minute from time, with Villa dominating, Emi Buendia fired home after Tyrone Mings headed the ball on.
A very comfortable afternoon for the Villans and another impressive display from Ramsey. Long may it continue.
