The Yorskhire club have been linked with a loan move for Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.
Sam Johnstone
It has been reported by the Daily Mail today that Leeds United are one of ten teams in the Championship to have enquired about the services of Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone this summer.
The talented stopper is on the radar of several other clubs, but if he headed to Leeds he would be among a long list of stoppers.
Robert Green
Leeds already have experienced duo Rob Green and Ross Turnbull on the books whilst Marco Silvestri is still around.
Then there is Bailey Peacock-Farrell. The talented teenager signed a new deal to remain at Leeds this summer but with all this apparent competition, will he stick around?
Leeds United’s Marco Silvestri looks dejected
Silvestri, demoted to the under-21s, would seemingly be on his way, but should Peacock-Farrell be sent out on loan?
At the moment it would appear he will be spending most of the season playing with the under-21s and getting no action with the first-team.
England’s Will Huffer
With talents like Will Huffer coming through the ranks the under-21 side is in good hands and it would surely do Peacock-Farrell better to head out on loan to a team in League Two or League One to get some experience of regular senior football.
Even if Johnstone is not brought in by Leeds the club would still be doing no harm if they did send Peacock-Farrell out on loan for a period of the 2016-17 season.
