Speaking to TV2, Arsene Wenger has been discussing Martin Odegaard and how much he loves the Arsenal captain.
The Norwegian has been in sumptuous form this season for the Gunners. He’s led by example since becoming the club’s official captain in the summer and he genuinely been one of the Premier League’s best midfiedlers this term.
Wenger knows a good midfielder when he sees one, and he says that he loves everything about Odegaard and the way he plays.

Wenger adores Odegaard
The ex-Arsenal boss spoke highly of the Norwegian.
“After he came to Arsenal, he has found his creativity back. He plays amazingly well and masters everything in the game. He is complete. I like him in every way in the game. Defensive and offensive. He has developed very well. It’s really amazing. His decisions, he is also a leader in the team. You see that Norway is now getting more top-class players, and I hope they can do well internationally in the years to come.”
Wenger player
If you could transport any player in this current Arsenal team back in time to play for Arsene Wenger it would be Martin Odegaard.
A quick-thinking creative midfielder who does his best work in tight spaces, Odegaard is the epitome of what a Wenger player was at Arsenal.
In fact, we’d go as far as to say that Odegaard is now what many believed Jack Wilshere could have been when he was bursting onto the scene as a teenager.
Sadly, Wenger and Odegaard’s paths never crossed at Arsenal, but Mikel Arteta is doing a fine job himself in terms of getting the best out of the Scandanavian.
Odegaard is undoubtedly one of the Premier League’s most talented players
